More about Velatura
What is Velatura?

Velatura is a native Mac app for AI architectural rendering and interior design visualization. Start from an exported view or sketch, create render options, revise selected areas, and keep versions together in a local project.

Can I use Velatura with SketchUp?

Yes. Export a clear view from SketchUp and import the image into Velatura. This is an exported-image workflow, not a live SketchUp plugin or a BIM connection.

Which other apps can I start from?

Any app that exports a standard image file, such as PNG, JPEG, TIFF, or HEIC, including Revit, Archicad, Rhino, and Vectorworks. A clear photo or scan of a hand sketch also works. Velatura does not read 3D model files.

Can I change one area without losing the original?

Yes. Select a region and save the generated revision as a new version. The original remains available for comparison. AI-generated content in and around the selected area can vary, so review the full result.

Does Velatura work on my Mac?

Velatura requires macOS 15.0 or later and an Apple silicon Mac. Intel Macs and Windows are not supported. AI rendering uses an online rendering service.

Where are my projects stored?

Your project is stored locally on your Mac in the location you choose. Managed rendering temporarily processes the selected inputs needed to generate the result. Rendering is not fully offline.

How do rendering plans work?

Starter includes the app and uses your own OpenRouter account, which bills rendering separately. Plus, Pro, and Ultra include Velatura-managed rendering credits. Compare current prices and credit allowances on the pricing page.

How many renders do the credits cover?

With the default models, a render up to 2K uses 1 credit and a 4K render uses 2. Other models can use more. The app shows the estimate before every render. Plus includes 225 credits a month, so up to about 225 renders at 2K.

What resolution do I get?

Render at 2K or 4K, and upscale a chosen result to 4K or 8K for presentation.

Can I use the renders in client work?

You keep the rights you have in your source images and in the outputs you create with Velatura. Rights in AI-generated images vary by country and model provider, so Velatura cannot guarantee that an output is copyrightable or exclusive. The Terms explain the details.

Are my images used to train AI models?

Velatura does not use managed-render inputs, outputs, prompts, or metadata to train models or improve products unless that use is separately disclosed and has a valid legal basis. Model providers apply their own terms. Data & privacy explains what each render processes.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel from your account page or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund the current billing period unless the law requires it.
